For those of you that have attended the last two shows, and in particular the Spring in St. Marys 2017 Pickin’4aPurpose event, we just wanted you to see your ticket proceeds in action! Thank you for supporting Pickin’4aPurpose!
On August 21st, we proudly held the ribbon cutting for the Tidal Clock that we were able to fund through the ticket purchases and donate to the City of St. Marys, GA at the entrance to the waterfront park. The clock reads the number of hours until the next tide, so for example the above photo, low tide has just occurred and it’s just a little over 5 more hours until the next high tide. How cool is that!
We were joined by Mayor John Morrissey, the board of the St. Marys Main Street Association, whom we partnered to make this show and donation possible, and many local business owners also.
Special thanks to Becky Myers of the St. Marys Main Street and Deb Cottle of Cottle & Gunn Vintage Shop for making Rustapalooza a huge success!
We hope when you’re back in St. Marys for the next show you’ll enjoy the Tide Clock for years to come and continue to partner with us for future projects we have in mind for the historic downtown area.
